Opinion: Middlebury House candidate offers extensive experience
As Election Day nears, I write to encourage folks to vote for Robin Scheu for state representative from Middlebury. Robin has a long history of serving our community both as a professional and as a volunteer. She currently serves as executive director of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation. She has worked tirelessly to help small businesses thrive and to increase jobs in Addison County.
Robin has also served as chair of the boards of the United Way of Addison County, Mary Hogan Elementary School, Vermont Land Trust, and Smart Growth Vermont, thus she has a good understanding of our need for strong public schools, a clean environment, and a sustainable economy.
I served with Robin on the United Way Board and can attest that Robin knows how to get things done. She is willing to voice her opinions and ideas, but she listens respectfully to others and can build consensus. Robin is a hard worker and she can be counted on to follow through on her commitments.
If elected, I believe Robin will quickly garner respect in the Vermont House and will be a great asset for representing Middlebury. Please join me in electing Robin Scheu to Vermont’s House of Representatives.
