Dubonnet promoted at Hall Communications

BURLINGTON — Senior Vice President Dan Dubonnet, a Starksboro resident, will assume additional responsibilities for Hall Communications, following the passing of Executive Vice President Bill Baldwin, earlier this past month, Hall Communications President Arthur J. Rowbotham and Chairman of the Board Bonnie Hall Rowbotham announced.
“Dan has been with Hall Communications for 31 years as manager of the Burlington, Vt., cluster; WOKO, WKOL, WJOY, WIZN and WBTZ,” Rowbotham said. “Dan will retain those duties in addition to his new responsibilities, which include oversight of the 11 Hall Communications Northeast stations in Providence, R.I.; Norwich-New London, Conn., and Lancaster-York, Pa.”
“I look forward to working with the talented broadcasters across Hall Communications,” said Dubonnet. “Our company’s mission statement includes making a positive difference in the lives our of listeners, advertisers, families and communities we serve. I look forward to continuing that mission while growing our company.”
Dubonnet began his career with Hall Communications in 1985 in Burlington as program director and mid-day announcer of WQCR (now WOKO). He was named station manager in 1989 and in 2006, he was named senior vice president and general manager for Hall-Burlington.
Dubonnet has served on numerous boards including the Burlington Business Association, Champlain College Internship Programs, Children’s Miracle Network, The Vermont Children’s Advisory Council and the Vermont Association of Broadcasters. He is a legislative liaison for Vermont Broadcasters with the NAB and in 2013 he was inducted into the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Dubonnet lives in Starksboro, where he serves as town moderator. He and his wife, Alice, have two children, Kate and Andrew.
