Springer joins Middlebury firm
BRISTOL/MIDDLEBURY — Avi J. Springer has joined the law firm of Langrock Sperry & Wool LLP as an associate, working primarily in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and other litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Springer, who lives in Bristol with his wife, worked as a public defender in New York City. In New York he represented clients in the appeals of their felony convictions and other post-conviction matters. He then worked as a trial attorney representing parents in child welfare proceedings in family court.
In addition, Springer served as a law clerk for Judge William K. Sessions III in the U.S. District Court in Burlington.
A 2010 graduate of Yale Law School, Springer also earned an M.P.P from the University of California, Berkley, in 2006, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 2001. He is admitted to the state courts in Vermont and New York; and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and is a member of the Vermont Bar Association.
“Avi brings big city experience and small town values to our practice — attributes that we and our clients highly value,” said Senior Partner Peter Langrock.
