Coffeehouse to sell Monkton flags

MONKTON — All are welcome to attend the “October Happenings” at the Russell Memorial Library in Monkton Ridge.
On Saturday, Oct. 15, there will be a special visitor to the library — a llama will visit from 10-11 a.m.! Come see this special guest with your family and hear a llama story.
On Friday, Oct. 28, there will be a “Special Pumpkin Story Hour” from 10-11 a.m. Join the celebration of pumpkins at this special seasonal event.
Once again the beloved “Trick or Treat at the Library” will happen on Halloween Night, Monday, Oct. 31, from 4:30-6 p.m. Be sure to have the children stop by and show off their costumes to receive a book along with a candy treat!

Do you have your Monkton Flag? Would you like another one? The Monkton Community Coffeehouse is putting in an order for Monkton’s town flag. This flag was designed for Monkton’s 250th anniversary by Linda Reynolds. It is a standard 3 foot by 5 foot flag with metal grommets and durable fabric. This flag can be flown with pride in front of your business or home and makes a wonderful gift for anyone. Get your order in now!
The deadline for order and payment is Monday, Oct. 24. The cost for the flag is $25. Make your check payable to the Monkton Community Coffeehouse and send your order with payment to:Monkton Community Coffeehouse, PO Box 12, Monkton, VT 05469.
Be sure to include your name and phone number so you can be contacted when the flags come in.
You can also stop into the Town Hall during regular hours and give your order and payment to the Town Clerk.
There is a drop off box to the right of the Town Hall door that you can leave your envelope in with payment, if you wish.
