Two teams earn ties at Ralph Myhre golf course

MIDDLEBURY — The Ralph Myhre Golf Course’s first annual Alternate Shot Tournament last week produced a tie for first place.
The duo of Tom Maxwell and Jim Rubright and the twosome of Don Dayton and Bernie Andrews shared championship honors for the course’s inaugural event.
In regular Thursday Afternoon Bill Davidson Men’s Golf competition on Sept. 22, the trio of Pete Damone, Neil Mackey and Frank Punderson emerged victorious.
The threesomes of Mike Adams, Marsdin Van Order and Russ Reilly, and Don Dayton, Ed Sommers and Paul Butt finished second and third, respectively. Punderson and Ron Kowalski shared low net honors.
In the Friday Night Mixer event, the foursome of Jean Gross, Bernie Andrews, Gail Smith and Bob Cameron prevailed.
The trio of Jim Craig, Jim Hadeka and Jim Reynolds survived first-name confusion to take second, and the foursome of Sheila Cameron, Jackson Richards, Nicole Laberge and Steve Gross finished third.
