Rokeby earns honor from national museum alliance
FERRISBURGH — The American Alliance of Museums has announced the winners in its 2016 Museum Publication Design Competition. Rokeby Museum garnered an honorable mention for its book, “Farming & Feasting with the Robinsons.”
Rokeby was the only small museum (budget less than $750,000) to place in the book category. Other museums honorably mentioned include the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Texas and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Rather august company!
This is the second award bestowed on “Farming & Feasting with the Robinsons.” The museum previously won first place for books in the New England Museum Association Publications Competition.
Rokeby Museum is a National Historic Landmark designated for its exceptional underground railroad history.
