Addison County literary magazine set to publish its first issue

VERGENNES — After receiving over one hundred individual submissions from across all towns in Addison County, “Zig Zag Lit Mag” is ready to release its first issue.
In celebration, the editing board has invited all those included in the inaugural issue to attend a release party as a chance to build relationships between local writers and artists. Zig Zag was founded to support these artists, and encourages their readers to do so as well with their motto: Read Local. Write Local.
The magazine will be free for all to read online at www.zigzaglitmag.org and —thanks to Little Pressroom in Middlebury — there will also be a limited supply of print copies available at the event. The event, free to the public, will be held at the Bixby Memorial Library in Vergennes on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m. The evening will consist of a brief reading and a general meet-and-greet with coffee and donuts.
Zig Zag Lit Mag is a biannual literary magazine for and by the residents of Addison County, Vermont. A print and online publication, Zig Zag bridges the gap between local writers and fosters a community for the arts. For more information, contact Dubberly at [email protected].
