Eagle football to play under the lights this Friday
BRISTOL — The Mount Abraham/Vergennes union high schools’ cooperative football program will on this Friday host its first-ever night game on the Mount Abe campus.
“Friday Night Lights In Bristol” will begin at 7 p.m. on Sept. 9, when the Eagle football team will host Division II rival and perennial contender Bellows Falls.
Admission for adults will be $5 and for students $2, while senior citizens and children will be admitted free. Food and beverages will be available.
The Mount Abraham-Vergennes cooperative football team dropped its Division II home opener on Saturday, 49-16, to Burlington High School. See a full story in Thursday’s edition of the Independent.
