Many winners in busy stretch at Ralph Myhre golf course

MIDDLEBURY — Ralph Myhre Golf Course enjoyed a busy few days last week, with a Middlebury College employee/retiree tournament added into the mix along with the usual Friday Golf Mixer and Bill Davidson Thursday Men’s Golf events.
The course staged the college employee/retiree tournament on Aug. 24. The Front 9 winning foursome consisted of Jean Gross, Gail Smith, Meghan Colwell and Russ Leng.
Taking second was the group of Valerie Costello, MariAnn Osborne, Lisa Ayers and Chris Ayers, and finishing third were Eric Leno, Troy Mackie, Steve teRiele and Scott Barker.
The Back 9 winning foursome was Dave LaRose, Kyle Kelton, Shelly Payne and Mike Pixley.
The runners-up were Hogan Beazley, Josh Girard, Jim Hadeka and Deb Hadeka; and taking third were Bruce Costello, Ray Gale, Bugsy Laframboise and Brad Lambert.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Karen Carpenter, Jen Erwin, Liza Sacheli, Mary Stanley, Scott Barke and Peter Burton.
Longest drive winners were Troy Mackie, Melissa Sullivan, Hogan Beazley and Deb Hadeka.
In Friday Night Mixer competition on Aug. 26, the quartet of Bernie Andrews, Frank Broughton, Father Skip Balch and Amey Ryan prevailed, with the foursome of Gail Smith, Jackson Richards, Torrie Blake and Russ Leng finishing second.
In Aug. 25 Bill Davidson Men’s Golf, the trio of Fred Belanger, Jeff Stetson and Peter Hubbard won, followed by Dayton Wakefield, Bill Brown and Joe Thilbourg in second place. Ed Sommers posted the low net score.
