Bristol man cited for stalking twice last week
BRISTOL — Bristol police jailed a 20-year-old Bristol man last Friday afternoon for allegedly stalking an ex-girlfriend.
At 12:55 p.m. on Aug. 26, Bristol police received a report from the former girlfriend of Daryn Barsalou that Barsalou was violating an abuse prevention order. Police then received a call from Barsalou reporting that the former girlfriend was following and harassing him.
Police investigated and, according to a release from Chief Kevin Gibbs, the investigation showed that Barsalou had violated court orders and he was arrested and cited for aggravated stalking, violation of conditions of release and violation of a relief from abuse order.
Barsalou was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington for lack of $25,000 in bail.
Earlier in the week, police had cited Barsalou for the same charges, and cited him for disorderly conduct by electronic means, following a complaint from a family member of the former girlfriend.
