Opinion: Human kindness shows after purse is lost in rubbish
A shout out to the good folks at R &L Rubbish. On Saturday morning my purse accidentally got recycled. Instead of saying “tough luck,” Laurie and Louis dumped the entire contents of their truck out on their driveway and went through it with a fine-tooth comb. Then they had to shovel everything back in by hand. They were working in the sweltering heat but were still smiling when I went to retrieve it later. As they said, “we wouldn’t have been smiling if we hadn’t found it.” I am so grateful and think they are a wonderful example of human kindness alive and well! Thanks again!
