Opinion: Many donated to help refugees

A Successful Welcome Supplies Drive for Refugees
A big thank you from the Weybridge Congregational Church to everyone who contributed to the “Welcome Supplies Drive” earlier this month. Over two days, residents from all over the county filled the church’s meeting room with kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, bedding, bathroom and personal care items — all of it going to benefit refugees coming to Vermont under the auspices of the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program. The staff were very appreciative of the quantity and the quality of these supplies. VRRP relies on the community for donations of household goods like these to help settle these newcomers in their new homes. All who brought in contributions to this drive should know they made a real difference.
