Opinion: Cyclist thankful for safe drivers

Most of the cycling I have done over the last 10 years has been along the roads of Salisbury, Leicester and Whiting, and I have found the people who travel those roads to be the most courteous drivers imaginable. The cars, farm vehicles and work trucks don’t just provide me the three-foot buffer required for cyclists, they give me 10 or 15 or whatever they can safely manage. There is rarely an exception. I just want to express my gratitude to the folks in those towns who graciously share the road. Yes, that’s me waving thank you every time you go by.
With gratitude,
Patrick Berry
