Opinion: Scheu has experience to be Middlebury’s state rep

Please join me in voting for Robin Scheu for state representative. I know Robin as a neighbor and from serving with her on the United Way of Addison County Board for two years. As chair of that board she was an effective, compassionate and energetic advocate for the health, education and welfare of all members of our community. As executive director of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation she has helped local businesses grow and create jobs. She also has supported our community in serving on the boards of the Vermont Land Trust, Smart Growth Vermont and the Mary Hogan School and her work with the Middlebury Land Trust, Addison County Solid Waste District, Middlebury Conservation Committee and the Middlebury Co-op.
Robin has a wide range of experience in working with local and state regulatory agencies, businesses, institutions and non-profits. She is a generous and collaborative team member, who is adept at motivating parties to coalesce on common goals and then act to reach them. As Middlebury’s state representative, she will employ her considerable abilities and experience to improve our area’s environmental health, economic vitality and human services. Please cast your vote for Robin for state representative.
