I am pleased to recommend once again my East Middlebury neighbor, Amy Sheldon, for re-election as Middlebury representative to the Vermont House. Amy has successfully carried her skills in public service and environmental stewardship to serve us well in the House, providing important leadership on health care, worker’s rights, economic opportunity and of course environmental protection. At the same time, she has taken a clear, focused view of balancing costs against benefits. As I said two years ago in this same space, Amy’s work demonstrates the Vermont motto of “Freedom and Unity,” that we as citizens must work together to reach a shared prosperity.
To that end, she listens to her constituents and her colleagues and works for a balanced consensus on the issues that matter to Vermonters. Middlebury residents will be well-served by her continued service in the House.
