Opinion: Bristol parade marshal misidentified in Independent

While it is absolutely true that Bill James had a wonderful time riding in my little car in the 4th of July parade for the day before his 105th birthday, this year he was not the Grand Marshal of the parade as stated in the front page picture. The Grand Marshal of our parade for 2016 was Dick Lathrop, a much loved man who rode in the coach and was so honored for the many things he and his family have done for the Town of Bristol. Thank you Dick and congratulations!

Editor’s note: He’s right. We apologize to Dick for the mistake.
