Opinion: Experience a plus for Scheu

We enthusiastically support Robin Scheu to represent Middlebury in the state legislature, and encourage fellow voters to do likewise in the August 9 primary and again in November. Why? Because Robin gets things done no matter what she tackles, from managing the Addison County Solid Waste Management District to chairing the boards of key local nonprofits that help all of us. A few of those boards include: United Way, Mary Hogan Elementary and Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op.
Robin’s ability to get things done extends well beyond Middlebury, including serving on the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund, Working Lands Enterprise, Vermont Employee Ownership and Vermont Land Trust boards. And she knows her way around Montpelier, having served on Shap Smith’s Economic Advisory Council and two legislative study committees. Currently Executive Director of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, Robin works tirelessly to support and retain local businesses to keep good jobs close to home.
Robin understands more than the issues, she understands the people they affect. A vote for Robin Scheu is a vote for all the best in Vermont’s brand of honest, practical, get-it-done politics.
