Sale of NFL swag to aid Eagle football

BRISTOL — On July 4 in Bristol a silent auction of autographed National Football League memorabilia will benefit the Mount Abraham/Vergennes Union High School Cooperative Football Team.
According to organizer Geoff Pearsall a wide variety of memorabilia, all with certificates of authenticity, will be offered at a booth on the Bristol Town Green during the town’s Independence Day festivities. All funds raised will go to directly toward the team’s expenses, including renting of lights for the first-ever home night game vs. Bellows Falls on Sept. 9.
Pearsall said items were chosen to fall in many price ranges. Bids will be accepted on July 4 at the town green or by phone or text to (802) 349-6305.
The items are:
•  Footballs autographed by Carolina Panther Cam Newton, Denver Bronco Von Miller, current Detroit Lion and former New England Patriot Stevan Ridley (Patriot jersey), and jointly by Patriots Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.
•  Jerseys autographed by New York Giant Eli Manning, Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers, former Patriot Wes Welker, Houston Texan and former Patriot Vince Wilfork (Patriot jersey), Giant Odell Beckham Jr., and Gronkowski.
•  Mini helmets autographed by Tampa Bay Buccaneer Doug Martin, New York Jet and former Patriot Darrelle Revis (Patriot helmet), Jet Chris Ivory; Texan J.J. Watt; and Manning.
•  Photos autographed (8×10) by Dallas Cowboy Troy Aikman, Pittsburgh Steeler Antonio Brown, Welker (Broncos photo), Gronkowski, and Brady.
•  Trading cards autographed by Giant Lawrence Taylor, New Orleans Saints Drew Brees, Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher, and Kansas City Chief Tony Gonzalez.
