Neat Repeats names grant recipients

MIDDLEBURY — The volunteers at the Neat Repeats consignment shop on Bakery Lane in Middlebury have awarded $12,119 in the spring 2016 grant cycle, as follows:
Payments of $3,750 to HOPE for housing costs, $1,000 to Festival on-the-Green, $900 in sports opportunities to four recipients, $750 in educational opportunities to four recipients, $619 in family assistance to five recipients, $500 toward the Mary Hogan School playground, $500 to Pocock Rocks, $500 to Addison Central Teens, and $500 to St. Peter’s Cemetery for monument repair.
Also, $500 to the First Baptist Church of Bristol for a lift, $350 toward the Evergreen Preschool playground, $300 to Summer Alive in Leicester, $300 to the Foxcroft Farm Harvest Program, $300 to the Vergennes Arts Walk, $250 to the Addison County Community Trust, $250 to the ACORN Junior Iron Chef competition, $250 to the Ilsley Public Library summer reading program and $100 to the Vergennes Junior Fishing Derby.
Directors Linda Waterman and Diane Howlett encourage the community to continue supporting Neat Repeats by shopping, donating or volunteering, and they remind shoppers that the store is air-conditioned.
