Opinion: P.O.workers, Lions stocked food shelf

With the longer days and the beauty of our surroundings offering us flowers and new buds, our community is also giving to those in need in our community. Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) would like to thank the United States Postal Service for having their recent postal food drive, and also a belated thank you to the Lions Club for their Food from the Heart food drive this past March.
As a result of the herculean efforts of both organizations, along with the assistance of the greater community, our food shelf received over a ton of nutritious food. We are extremely grateful to all of the individuals that took time and energy out of their day to make these events happen.
