OV golf team claims fourth in D-II tourney
MIDDLEBURY — The Otter Valley Union High School golf team capped a successful spring by finishing fourth in the Division II tournament this past Wednesday at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury.
Northern teams dominated the event, which was won by Rice with a score of 350, followed by Harwood (360), Lyndon (370), OV (at 384 the top Southern squad), Woodstock (395) and Lake Region (407).
Thomas Kingsley led the Otters by shooting an 88, followed by Colin Nicklaw (92), Sam Buswell (100), and William Kelly (104).
Two local independents also competed. Middlebury’s Hogan Beazley fired an 85 that was three shots off the best D-II score, and Mount Abraham’s Carson Sanchez shot an 88.
