I see, by the letter in the May 12 Addy Indy, that there are some in Vermont who still believe the coal/oil industry propaganda that there is no global warming.
With all the evidence that it is happening NOW, it is hard to keep heads in the sand and to continue with eyes shut to remain thinking there is no problem. Ask the natives of some Pacific islands whose land is almost eaten by rising water from global warming. Keep ignoring all the science measuring the heat and resulting melting ice, that show a direct correlation to the heat of fossil fuel burning.
Wow, one person of note disagreeing with all the hundreds of scientists who are studying the problem is found, so that one must be right and all the rest are wrong. Yup, we gotta keep those oil/coal profits rolling in. Live high while the good times remain and don’t worry about the future, since the Koch brothers say their profits are more important than the truth.
Some of us can see the future and want to stop catastrophe before it is too late. We believe those who study the problem more than those who profit from getting people to ignore the truth.
