Tiger girls’ lax tips Hornets
MIDDLBURY — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ lacrosse team held off visiting Essex on Tuesday, 12-11, to remain unbeaten and in first place in Division I at 6-0. The Hornets dropped to 3-3.
Emma Best and Emma Donahue scored three goals apiece to lead the Tigers, with Best adding an assist.
Satchel McLaughlin and Isabel Rosenberg chipped in two goals apiece, and Andi Boe scored once and set up two goals.
Tiger goalie Raven Payne stopped two shots, while Hornet goalie Elise Carney made eight saves. Mady Corkum sparked Essex with six goals and an assist.
