Boys lacrosse teams are successful on the road

ADDISON COUNTY — The Vergennes, Middlebury and Mount Abraham union high school boys’ lacrosse teams all posted road wins earlier this week, while Otter Valley’s Monday home game vs. Hartford was postponed until May 21.
The Otters were set to entertain Vergennes on Wednesday afternoon in a game that had been postponed from April 23.
COMMODORES
VUHS defeated host Lamoille, 12-9, on Tuesday as senior attacker Tyler Crowningshield scored his 100th career goal, becoming the first player in program history to do so.
Crowningshield (three assists) and Tyler Kepes (one assist) each scored four times to pace VUHS past the Lancers. Max Ratti-Bicknell tossed in three goals, and Gunnar Sonwaldt scored once.
Goalie Broc Clark backstopped the win with 12 saves as VUHS moved to 3-1, while Lancer goalie Dakota Jares stopped nine shots.
TIGERS
The Tigers edged host BFA-St. Albans, 9-7, as a 5-1 second-quarter surge proved to be decisive. Jack Hounchell scored four times to spark the Tigers’ largest offensive output of the spring. Jack Donahue chipped in two goals and an assist, and Spencer Carpenter,Ali Abdul-Sater andTrey Kaufmann added a goal apiece as MUHS moved back over .500 at 3-2. The Bobwhites dropped to 2-3.
EAGLES
The Eagles doubled up host U-32, 16-8, as Owein LaBarr recorded five goals and an assist to lead the offense. Charlie Meyer scored twice and set up eight strikes, Dylan Weaver and Lucas Richter each scored four times and assisted a goal, Sam Paradee set up three goals, and Neo Weaver tacked on one score. Tucker Paradee made eight saves as the Eagles improved to 5-1.
