Otter softball gets a 4-1 victory

WESTMINSTER — The Otter Valley Union High School softball team opened on Saturday with a 4-1 victory at Bellow Falls.
Courtney Bushey tossed a complete-game three-hitter and struck out seven for OV, and Gabby Poalino doubled, singled twice and drove in three runs.
OV leadoff hitter Amy Jones singled twice, stole two bases and scored twice, and Maia Edmunds chipped in an RBI single. Bushey and Laura Wentworth scored the other OV runs.
