MIDDLEBURY — Five members of the Middlebury Union High School Nordic team, four of them from the Division II champion boys’ squad, earned postseason honors from Vermont’s high school Nordic coaches.
Three Tiger boys earned All-State Division II honors, awarded to the top-10 skiers at the state championships as determined by their combined times from the freestyle and classic races.
They were Sam Hodges, Nick Wilkerson and Thomas Hussey.
Two Tigers, one male skier and one female skier, earned Honorable Mention, awarded to the skiers with the next five best combined times. Amelia Ingersoll received Honorable Mention on the girls’ side after finishing just a few seconds out of the combined top 10, and Cade Christner earned Honorable Mention from the Tiger boys’ team.
