Edgewater Gallery ‘shoot-out’ contest slated for March 26
MIDDLEBURY — The new event space at Edgewater Gallery at the Falls in Middlebury is complete and the views are stunning, both inside and out. Edgewater is celebrating with a “shoot-out,” a one-day photography contest designed to showcase local photographers, on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Former National Geographic photographer Jim Blair has offered to judge the contest, andwill give a brief talk at the beginning of the day. There will be a $500 Edgewater Gallery gift certificate for the winner. Both professional and amateur photographers are invited to participate.
The gallery will provide lunch for the contestants, who get to be the first to check out thenewly renovated space at Mill Street as well as take photos from the deck, in the event space, and around town.
Entries will be submitted via email by March 29 and the winner will beannounced on March 31. Only pictures taken the day of the shoot-out can be entered in the contest.
