City’s Memorial Day parade theme set
VERGENNES — The Vergennes American Legion has chosen “Honor and Remembrance” as the theme for the annual Memorial Day parade and observance on Monday, May 30. This will be a tribute to all the men and women who have served their country during times of conflict. All floats should have the theme placed somewhere on them so they can be judged.
The Legion has already started laying the groundwork for another great Memorial Day observance. Bands are already being lined up to provide marching music. There will also be a number of Scout and Brownie troops in the parade, as well as a number of local and state agencies that plan on entering
The Vergennes Legion puts on the largest Memorial Day parade and observance in the state.
