Tigers chosen as ice hockey all-stars

MIDDLEBURY — Two members of the Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team were chosen as either first- or second-team Division I Vermont all-stars.
Sophomore Tiger forward Andi Boe made the first team, where she was joined by BFA-St. Albans forward Aliza Ellis, Spaulding forward Jessica Scott, Essex defender Avery MacGillivray, Rutland defender Kailee Matteson, and Essex goalie Vika Simons.
Junior Tiger forward/defender Julia Carone was named to the second team, where she was joined by Rutland forward Meghan Hamilton, Essex forward Amanda Sinkewicz, BFA defender Riley Yandow, Spaulding defender Jordyn Binaghi, and Rutland goalie Kelsey Eddy.
Essex won its third-straight championship last week, blanking BFA in the final, 2-0.
