‘Pitch Vermont Life’ your idea March 30

MIDDLEBURY — Addison County Economic Development Corp. (ACEDC) and Vermont Life magazine are co-sponsoring “Pitch Vermont Life — Addison County” on Wednesday, March 30, from 5-7:30 p.m. at Stonecutter Spirits, 1197 Exchange St., in Middlebury. This event is free to attend.
This public pitching session is a chance to get individual, business or organizations’ stories into Vermont Life. The magazine’s editorial team will be on hand, ready to hear pitches from Addison County. Professionals with careers in software development, architecture, game design, visual and performing arts, music, communication arts, film and new media and other aspects of the creative economy are encouraged to attend.
This session will accommodate up to 15 story pitches, and preregistration is required. Pitch decks will be no more than six slides (PowerPoint format) and pitches will be no more than 2 minutes (we will strictly adhere to this limit in order to accommodate all pitches). The format for the evening event will include three 20-minute rounds of pitches with enough time to mix and mingle with the Vermont Life editorial team and attendees between each round. Light food and refreshments will be served (with a cash bar).
To register and pitch a story for this event, please contact Sky Barsch, associate publisher, Vermont Life, [email protected] or (802) 828-5535. ACEDC will also host a pitch practice session ahead of time for those who would like to hone their skills and receive feedback.
For more information, contact Sky, or ACEDC Executive Director Robin Scheu at 802-388-7953 or [email protected].
