CVAA to host luncheon for seniors
MIDDLEBURY — CVAA (The Champlain Valley Agency on Aging) will host a senior luncheon and presentation on Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the new Middlebury Recreation Center on Creek Road.
Homeward Bound, Addison County’s Humane Society, will present information about its Senior-to-Senior Adoption Program. This program seeks to place senior animals (8 years or older) with senior adults who have the capacity to care for them. These loving animals are in need of “forever homes” and will provide companionship to their new owners. The program offers low-cost opportunities for adoption.
A special noontime meal will follow, featuring chicken parmesan with seasoned linguini, Brussels sprouts and apple pie. Certified organic regular and decaffeinated coffee from Vermont Coffee Co. will be served.
There is a suggested donation of $4; advanced reservations required. Call CVAA at 1-800-642-5119, ext. 1070, to reserve. Free transportation can be provided by ACTR; call 802-388-1946.
