I will be voting yes on the upcoming article to create a unified school district.
Governance consolidation itself is extremely complex, but my reasoning is simple. A unified district is the best available choice for our schools, our students, and our communities.
This vote is really about two paths forward for our local schools. One path leads toward options and potential opportunities. The other is fraught with limitations, division, diversion and distraction from common goals, and a continuing struggle with forces beyond our local control.
I hope you will join me in voting for opportunity. Please vote yes in support of establishing a unified district.
