Two Middlebury College skiers claimed victories at this past weekend’s William Carnival.
Colin Hayes paced the Alpine side with a win in the slalom, while Annie Pokorny was victorious for the women’s Nordic squad in the 5K pursuit. The Middlebury team was fourth.
Alpine races were contested at Jiminy Peak in Hancock, Mass., while the Nordic races were held at the Ski Jump Venue at Lake Placid, N.Y. Look in Thursday’s paper for a full recap of the Panthers’ efforts at the carnival.
