Fundraiser to feature Station Mountain Band, storytellers

MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Community Music Center (MCMC) will hold a benefit show featuring the Station Mountain Band at the Marquis Theater in Middlebury on Friday, Feb. 26, from 6-9 p.m.
The Station Mountain Band mixes elements of alt-pop, singer-songwriter and Americana, into their own blend of melodic originals and reinterpretations, with songs heavy on vocal harmonies, and stark and vivid lyricism.
The evening also features a “Moth”-inspired session of live storytelling with a musical theme. Interested storytellers should arrive by at 6:45 p.m. to sign up to tell stories of their own musical experiences. The story hour will be hosted by regional “Moth” champion Bobby Stoddard, plus special MCMC performers. There will also be a raffle with great prizes.
Event admission is a suggested donation of $20/$30, which includes a free drink. Raffle tickets are $10 each or $25 for three.
