Home, business owners can contact the Bristol police for security check
BRISTOL — The Bristol Police Department is starting a new program of property inspections to help home and business owners protect their property and avoid becoming victims of crime.
Home and business owners in Bristol may contact Sgt. George Crowe to have a property inspection assessment. An inspection form evaluating the security of the home or business will be completed, and a copy provided to the property owner. Crowe will then give the owner advice on how to better secure and protect their property.
A burglary occurs every 15 seconds in this country. According to movoto.com, Bristol is the fourth safest town in Vermont, and according to 24/7 Wall St. (247wallst.com), Vermont is the safest state in the nation. Still, Bristol is not immune to criminal activity. People need to do whatever they can to protect the things they have worked hard for. The Bristol Police want to arm town residents with information to help them better protect their property and families.
To schedule an inspection, con- tact Sgt. Crowe at the Bristol Po- lice Department at 802-453-2533 or [email protected], or leave a voicemail at 802-453-6855, ext. 2.
