Tiger girls’ hockey earns win number 11

SOUTH BURLINGTON — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team kept up its winning ways on Saturday, when the Tigers defeated host South Burlington, 5-0. The Tigers improved to 11-2-1 with their eighth straight victory, while SB dropped to 4-7. The Tigers will host Rutland (9-3) on Wednesday.
Andi Boe led the Tigers with two goals and an assist, and goalie Katie Billings worked an 11-save shutout. Rebel goalie Erin Church stopped 18 shots.
Julia Carone recorded a goal and two assists for MUHS, and Lauren Bartlett and Justine Smith also found the net for the Tigers.
Contributing assists were Monroe Cromis, Tulley Hescock, Molly Wetmore and Tajah Marsden.
