Morrison to oversee programs at Middlebury Indoor Tennis
MIDDLEBURY — The Addison Community Athletics Foundation (ACAF) has hired Erin Morrison as a part-time program coordinator for Middlebury Indoor Tennis. She will oversee current programs and will lead efforts to expand programming for youth and others in the community.
Morrison moved to Vermont in 2015 from Arizona, where she worked as a senior program coordinator for the Sun Devil Fitness Complex at Arizona State University (ASU). While working at ASU, she was responsible for developing and expanding programs and events and also served as an adviser for the Well Devil Coalition and the ASU Wellness Program. Erin holds a master of science in sport management from Indiana State University and a B.S. in education from Mississippi University for Women. During graduate school, she assisted in managing the Indiana State University Student Recreation Center.
Morrison is an outdoor enthusiast who breaks away for a quick hike whenever possible. She says she is excited to learn more about tennis and to engage with her new community in Vermont. “I am excited to see where our organization goes. There is a lot of support from the community and the United States Tennis Association, and I think ACAF is a great resource for the area,” she said. “We have the potential to reach a lot of kids and families and hopefully help them to have more active and engaging lives.”
Morrison resides in Middlebury with her fiancé, Matt Cutts, and daughter Robyn.
Vermont Community Foundation Vice President for Program and Grants Jen Peterson said, “Erin’s strong background in fitness programming — combined with her enthusiasm — will be invaluable as we continue our outreach into the community. We successfully launched new programming with Bridport and Middlebury schools this fall, and Erin and the ACAF staff are well-poised to keep the momentum going with other schools this winter.”
