MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury Union High School students Ella Nagy-Benson and Jakub Kraus, both piano students of Diana Fanning, have been selected to perform piano solos in the annual St. Paul’s Cathedral Arts’ Young Artists Showcase Recital in January. Young musicians from all over Vermont were invited to audition for the opportunity to perform in the showcase.
The Young Artists Showcase Recital has been part of St. Paul’s Cathedral Arts for nearly 40 years. Elaine Greenfield, artistic director of Cathedral Arts, began the series, “Tuesdays Noon to One,” in 1977, and is the organizer of the showcase.
The Showcase Recital will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at noon at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 2 Cherry St., in Burlington. There is no charge for admission and the public is invited to attend.
