Boy Scouts still have trees, wreaths

MONKTON — If you still need to get a Christmas tree or want to get a nice wreath for the holidays, Monkton Boy Scout Troop 525 will be selling trees and wreaths at the Monkton Friends Methodist Church each weekend before Christmas. The Scouts will be at the church on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Prices of the trees, coming from Craftsbury, are $35 each.
The wreaths, being made of tree branches harvested in Monkton and made by the Scouts themselves, cost $12 for a plain wreath and $15 for a wreath with a bow. This is a great way to help support our local Boy Scout troop and get your greenery for the holiday. For more information, call Troop Leader Russ Baker at 453-4859.
Information for our local church Christmas activities will be forthcoming soon.
