SALISBURY — A 72-year-old Salisbury man was cited for reckless endangerment with a firearm Tuesday evening after he allegedly fired a pistol at a man he had asked to leave his property on Shard Villa Road.
Roger Stone is scheduled to answer to the charge in Addison County Superior Court, criminal division, on Jan. 25.
It was at around 10:47 p.m. on Dec. 8 that Vermont State Police were called to a home at 879 Shard Villa Road to investigate a “suspicious complaint,” according to authorities.
The complainant was Stone, who had told VSP dispatchers?that he shot at a man with his pistol, according to police. Upon their arrival at the?home, police said they met with Stone, who allegedly told them that Kadia J. Barenbaum, 56, of Middlebury had been at his home and had been asked to “leave numerous times,” according to VSP. Stone allegedly reported shooting at Barenbaum with his pistol while Barenbaum was in his driveway, police said.
Stone was then taken to the New Haven VSP barracks for processing, according to police, and release after being issued the citation.
