ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police received a call from an investigator with the Union County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Department, who provided credible information on a fugitive from Ohio living in North Ferrisburgh. Troopers located the accused, identified as 46-year-old Thomas Andrew Dague at his Route 7 residence and took him into custody without incident.
Police did not say what he was wanted for in Ohio, but they did lodge him at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility, bail was set at $50,000.
In other activity in the past week, state police:
•  On Oct. 11 at 8 a.m. received a report of a fight between a male and female in a vehicle. Traffic control officers working at the intersection of Halpin and River roads in New Haven reported they observed a man verbally argue with then repeatedly strike the female driver of a vehicle. Troopers along with assistance from Vergennes police located the subjects in the driveway of a residence on Belden Falls Road. After investigating, state police took 19-year-old Daryn T. Barsalou of Bristol into custody, cited him for domestic assault and lodged him at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility with bail set at $1,000.
•  On Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. were called to investigate the burglary of Route 74 home in Shoreham, which had occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. that day. Police said the thief got in through an unlocked door. The homeowner reported that medication and money were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 388-4919. •  On Nov. 13 were alerted to the theft of a pickup truck in Leicester. The victim told state police that someone had walked onto their property and used the keys left in the vehicle to drive off with it. The vehicle was described as a black, 2002 Ford Ranger Edge with an extended cab truck and a landscaping-style trailer attached.
The truck left the residence headed south on Route 7. State police and Brandon police checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the state police.
•  On Nov. 14 cited a New Haven man for driving under the influence. On that Saturday at around 9:35 p.m., police stopped, for traffic violations, a vehicle driven by Peter Robinson, 45, on Notch Road in Bristol. Robinson provided a preliminary sample of his breath and his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.111 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent.
• On Nov. 17 reported that they had cited 21-year-old Mikela Dietrich of Bristol for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 18 when at around 12:45 a.m. state police came upon a motor vehicle crash on Route 7 in New Haven north of the New Haven River. The trooper discovered a vehicle had traveled off the road, hit a guard rail and traveled down a steep embankment. No one was with the vehicle and the vehicle was heavily damaged and considered a total loss.
After a brief investigation he discovered the vehicle belong to Dietrich and within a short time he made contact with her at her apartment. Due to the severity of the crash and Dietrich complaining of chest pains, the Bristol Rescue Squad was called, and they transported Dietrich to Porter Medical Center for further evaluation.
At the hospital, an evidentiary sample of Dietrich’s blood was obtained. The blood results recently came back and showed Dietrich’s blood alcohol content was over 0.08 percent, the legal limit for driving. State police issued Dietrich a citation to answer the charges in Addison Superior Court, criminal division, on Dec. 14.
