Route 7 sewer work will cause detours, delays in Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Department of Public Works warns Middlebury drivers that there will be street traffic disruptions on the north end of town starting Nov. 10 and running through Nov. 20.
North Pleasant Street (Route 7) between Elm and Exchange streets will be reduced to one lane between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Nov. 10, until approximately Friday, Nov. 20, for a private sewer line extension. Traffic control will be on site.
This section of North Pleasant Street will be closed between 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, and 6 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13. All traffic must use the Exchange Street detour. The northbound lane of North Pleasant will be closed at Elm Street, the southbound lane will be closed at Exchange Street. Residents north of High Street must exit north, residents south of High Street must exit to the south. Only local traffic — meaning those who live or work on North Pleasant Street between Elm Street and Exchange Street — will have access beyond road closure signs,
During this period, High Street will also be closed to through traffic. Residents must enter and exit at Stewart Lane.
