Bristol seeks resident to fill school board vacancy

BRISTOL — The Bristol Elementary School Board is seeking a Bristol resident interested in serving on the five-member board.
Terri Mayer Thomsen, appointed in September to replace Sheryl Thurber, has recently resigned. Addison Notheast Supervisory Union officials did not say why Thomsen resigned. Her term will expire in March.
Bristol residents are invited to submit a letter of interest by Friday, Nov. 13. The board will meet with interested individuals at their next scheduled meeting, which will be held at Mount Abraham Union High School on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m., directly after the ANeSU all boards meeting.
It is the responsibility of the town school board to appoint a qualified person to fill this vacancy until an election is held at the next annual meeting or at a special meeting.
Interested parties can email submissions to [email protected] or send by U.S. Mail to Bristol Elementary School Board, c/o Catrina DiNapoli, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Addison Northeast Supervisory Union, 72 Munsill Ave., Suite 601, Bristol, VT 05443.
