Middlebury College students to host family literacy programs
MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury College’s Page One Literacy program will host two family events this fall.
First is a “Robert Frost Walk” in Ripton on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 1-3 p.m. Families are invited to join Middlebury College students for a poetry walk on the Robert Frost Trail. The 1.2-mile loop offers poetry stops along with way. There will be snacks and games as well.
In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Kirk Alumni Center at Middlebury College. Visit sites.middlebury.edu/page1/ if the weather is questionable.
Then on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Page One Literacy’s annual Halloween party will be held at the Swift House Inn, at 25 Stewart Lane in Middlebury. Kids, with their parents, can play games, decorate cookies, read spooky stories, and celebrate Halloween. Costumes are encouraged. Lunch will be served.
Page One Literacy is a Middlebury College student organization that strives to promote a love for reading and learning amongst elementary school students in the local community. For more information, or to RSVP to either the poetry walk or the Halloween party, email [email protected].
