Opinion: Oct. 1 forum to deal with opiods

Opioid use disorder is a chronic illness which like many other chronic diseases requires long-term management to ensure recovery. What is this care? What does it look like? How is it being administered? Are you in long-term recovery? Do you know someone in long-term recovery?
Brandon Cares is offering an open forum on Long Term Recovery from opiate use. The opiate problem in our communities affects us all. Come and listen and ask questions. Learn what is being done and what we all can do.
We will be joined by Marisha Morgan (Otter Valley class of 2004); Clay Gilbert (Evergreen Substance Abuse Services) and Tracie Hauck (Turning Point of Rutland County).
The forum will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Brandon Inn, Brandon Vermont.
Jay Merluzzi, on behalf of Brandon Cares
