Local artists contributed to Quarry Hill School auction

MIDDLEBURY — Artwork for Quarry Hill School’s annual Art Auction is featured at American Flatbread in the Middlebury Marble Works until Wednesday, Sept. 23. Each of the pieces in the show hanging at Flatbread has been donated to the local preschool. The works include paintings, prints and drawings by local favorites Debbie Holmes, Woody Jackson, Mary Lower, Courtney Allenson and others. This collection of varied two-dimensional work will surely provide something of interest for just about everyone. Bidders can participate in the silent auction throughout September by visiting American Flatbread.
Also included in the auction is a wonderful assortment of family experiences available for bidding. A sampling includes an overnight stay at Tourterelle with a wine tasting at Lincoln Peak Vineyard, yoga, art or music instruction for children, and a movie night at the Marquis Theater after a meal at Rosie’s. Many local merchants have participated in putting together some great experiences.
Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5-8 p.m. will be the culminating night of bidding, along with a benefit bake. Regular menu items will be available at American Flatbread and, thanks to the generosity of the Middlebury Hearth, a portion of each meal purchased will be donated by Flatbread to Quarry Hill. Takeout will be available.
