Hannaford offers free auto safety checks
ADDISON COUNTY — The Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Auto Class will provide a free, 29-point vehicle safety check or a reasonably-priced oil change on Thursday, Sept. 24, in conjunction with the United Way Days of Caring.
Those who make an appointment will be offered two options:
• A comprehensive, 29-point safety check for a passenger vehicle. This includes a check of belts, hoses, fluids, brakes, air filter, CV boots and joints, steering linkages, lights, exhaust, tire pressure and tread depth. Customers will receive a check-sheet with documented recommendations. Complimentary carwash included. (45 minutes)
• A $25-$35 oil change. This includes oil, filter and all fluids topped off. The cost varies based on type of oil recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Those who require a type of oil different than what is recommended are asked to specify their requirements when making appointments. Cars getting an oil change will also get the 29-point safety check and complimentary carwash. (75 minutes)
This service will be provided by appointment only. The first appointment is at 9:15 a.m.; last appointment is at 1 p.m. The career center will have five bays operating and multiple car wash stations. Customer should arrive at the North Campus facility 15-20 minutes prior to appointment time.
