Eagle field hockey falls to U-32
EAST MONTPELIER — Host U-32 on Friday edged the Mount Abraham Union High School field hockey team, 1-0.
The Raiders, the only Division II team on the D-II Eagles’ schedule, improved to 3-0. The Eagles dropped to 0-3 with their third straight loss, all on the road, two by one goal and the third to D-I defending champion Essex.
The Eagles will host for the first time on Wednesday, when Colchester visits at 4 p.m.
On this past Friday, the Raiders’ Sam Fielder converted a second-half rebound for the game’s early goal. The Eagles outshot the Raiders, but U-32 goalie Caitlin O’Kelley worked an 11-save shutout. Eagle goalie Danielle Morse was credited with seven stops.
