Vermont State Police Log: Authorities stop drivers, arrest them on outstanding warrants

ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police in the past week took into custody a number of local people who had warrants out for their arrest.
In the first case, troopers responded to a reported disturbance at a Burpee Road home in Bristol on Aug. 27 at 1:36 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers were told the parties involved had left the residence on foot. State police used a VSP canine to track the individuals and located them behind the residence.
They identified the parties as 22-year-old Devan Corliss and 20-year-old Marissa Tallman, both of Brandon.
Both Corliss and Tallman had active warrants for their arrest — Corliss was wanted for forgery and retail theft and Tallman for retail theft. Corliss and Tallman were taken into custody without incident. Tallman was lodged to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility and Corliss was transported to the Marble Valley Correctional Center.
In a separate incident, state police stopped a 2002 Volkswagen Passat driven by Krystal Turnbaugh, 31, of New Haven on Bristol Road in Monkton on Aug. 30 at 1:01 a.m. The trooper arrested Turnbaugh and transported her to the New Haven state police barracks, where he cited her for driving with a criminally suspended license and then transported her to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility because she had a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court on a previous date.
Finally, state police went to a Hollow Road home in Monkton on the evening of Aug. 31 and made contact with 35-year-old Allen Pike, who had a warrant for his arrest. The trooper took Pike into custody, transported him to the New Haven barracks for processing, and lodged Pike at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility with no bail.
