Ralph Myhre course sees many winners

MIDDLEBURY — In recent golf action, Ralph Myhre Golf Course members on Aug. 29 defeated their counterparts from the Basin Harbor Club, thus keeping the Addison Cup in Middlebury for another year.
Then on Aug. 30 Chuck and Hogan Beazley and Vicki and Elena Bronson were the winners in Ralph Myhre’s Parent-Child Tournament.
On Aug. 31, the Ralph Myhre foursome of Jim Dayton, Don Dayton, Matt Brush and Seth Dayton tied for second place at a Pro-Am tournament at Dorset Country Club.
This weekend will see Ralph Myhre’s men’s club championships. Tee times are at 8:30 and 10: 30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
In regular weekly action, the Aug. 28 Friday Evening Mixed Scramble winners were the threesome of Dave Wemette, Bill Laberge and Priscilla Leng. The evening’s Closest to the Line winners were Frank Broughton and Joan Guertin.
In Bill Davidson Thursday Afternoon Golf play, the trio of Ed Sommers, Russ Reilly and Doug Biklen emerged victorious.
Coming in second was the threesome of Pete Mulgrew, Jim Twitchell and Paul Butt, while Mike Adams, George Ramsayer and Bernie Andrews took third.
Sommers earned the evening’s low net score, and the Closest to the Pin winners were Ramsayer and Andrews.
